Brian has a Business Management NDip, Service Management BTech and Strategic Management Honours. He joined Nedbank in 2014 as a software tester, believing in starting somewhere, and advanced to senior tester in 8 months. He now oversees social responsibility as the chairman – OHSA and recognition committee. As one of Nedbank’s Top Achievers, he believes in hard work and has introduced four ideas, of which three are implemented and one has given him the opportunity to meet with Nedbank’s executives to develop it. He is proud to work for Nedbank and is pushing to be the CEO.
Having completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management & Marketing (majoring in Human Resource Management) in 2006 at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, Charlene was determined to go to the Big City, “Johannesburg”. At the age of 21 years old, she left her family and her hometown to pursue her dreams. Charlene has over 9 years of experience in her profession, in both the construction and mining sectors. She currently, proudly, holds the position of Senior Human Resources Manager at Liviero, also specialising in Employment Relations and Sourcing & Recruitment (Generalist, and HR Professional recognised by the SABPP).
Leon van Wyk is currently the Engineering Air Quality Manager within the technology group at Eskom. He has an MSC in Chemical Engineering and is a registered engineering professional. Leon started in February 2011 and has gained his professional experience in flue gas cleaning focussing on particulate matter control. In his current role, Leon is responsible for overseeing all major Electrostatic Precipitator Plant, Fabric Filter Plant and Desulphurisation Plant projects in Eskom. Leon considers himself fortunate to be able to influence the South African economy and air quality through his endeavours at Eskom.
Grant has built his various businesses on the back of an incredibly successful tenure as the owner of the largest real estate company in the North Durban suburbs. In 2014 Grant became the youngest recipient of the National RE/MAX Franchisee of the Year Award, and currently sits as the Chairman of the National RE/MAX Broker/Owner Advisory Council. He is Founder of the Durban Entrepreneurs Club and a public speaker on the subject of Entrepreneurship, Personal Development, Property Ownership and Education. Grant’s passion is inspiring others to become the best possible versions of themselves through his public speaking business.
Gareth joined Britehouse in 2013 and currently fulfils the Britehouse Change Lead role. With over 15 years of experience in learning and human behavioural change, Gareth has gained insights working across various industries and cultures around the world in managing organisational disruption more effectively. He has previously held project management, change management as well as learning and collaboration roles at Trainiac and Accenture. Gareth has a keen interest in blending design thinking, graphic facilitation and consulting in a way that brings people and technology closer together.
Lerato is responsible for finding new business opportunities for Aberdare Cables in the mining, government and energy sectors of South Africa. She has 10 years’ experience in this role, having started as a trainee in the tenders department, working her way up to her present position and is currently studying a BSc through UNISA. She is passionate about what she does; and loves receiving letters of appointment on tenders Aberdare received and continuously looks at improving. Lerato’s objective is to make sure the efforts of her team achieve company strategy and goals.
An aspiring director and photographer, Tsoku writes for SABC2’s youth show, Hectic Nine-9. He has been writing professionally for 3 years, enjoying a brief stint as a copywriter before venturing into television. Having only worked in the photograph medium for just over 18months, he has already gathered international recognition by appearing on CNN’s African Voices and made a name for himself locally with his conceptual work dealing with underlying issues he feels don’t get enough exposure, ranging from the visceral, spiritual, to the geo-political in hopes of driving meaningful conversations around the topics, bringing about changes in mindset & perspective.
Rousseau holds an M.Eng from the Stellenbosch University and a Government Certificate of Competence: Mines & Works. He has served the mining industry for 11 years during which he has held consulting positions in the AAP Corporate Office as well as various operational engineering positions. This has served Rousseau well as he now leads the engineering discipline at Amandelbult Complex, a platinum group metals (PGM) mining & reduction operation north of the Pilanesberg. He believes that Zero Harm is possible and prides himself in finding innovative solutions to counteract the challenges of today’s suppressed commodity markets and social wellbeing of local communities.
Dapo has a Bachelor of Business Science, Accounting & Economics from Monash University, Australia. He is enthusiastic about change & making a difference, actively participating in a number of organisations focused on great stewardship. He is also a founding member of Ikhono Forum, a social initiative focused on youth empowerment and Ikhono Holdings, a private investment organisation. Dapo is also a member of Unleashing Leadership Potential, a leadership programme developing future leaders and the general welfare of the community, together with youth involvement and participation. Founded in early 2013, Khonolgy is a niche financial technology consultancy delivering practical and sustainable FinTech solutions to empower Africa’s businesses.

Spendomh the past 7 years in various capacities in Human Capital Management, working mostly in Training and Development, Talent Acquisition and Employee Health & Safety, has adequately equipped Nomthandazo for her next career move. She has wide-ranging experience in general human resources management at an administrative and Practitioner level, with a keen interest in Organisation Development, Transformation and Performance Management. Currently an Administrator at Joburg Property Company, Her most recent achievement is completing course in commercial property at University of Witwatersrand.
Thabo is an extremely accomplished banqueting manager with 11 years’ experience in this field. He has scooped himself 3 awards in 2015 for department top achiever which led him to be nominated for the2016 Top Achiever Awards. He is a very customer orientated person with high values, ethics and integrity, which has prompted him to deliver positive and enduring results for the Piedmont Group. His level of positive influence can also be seen in his relationship with his subordinates, where Thabo is most fulfilled when helping people to grow professionally. This quality has earned him the name of “The Ultimate.”
After graduating from his 12 month in-service training at the Department of Water Affairs in 2006, Ntsako moved to Transnet Freight Rail as an Engineering Technician in 2007. From 2010 he was made Acting Electrical Maintenance Manager until he was officially appointed to this position in 2012. Ntsako’s performance warranted him a place in the Transnet Chief Executive Talent Nurturing Program. From 2014 to date he has been acting as Depot Engineering Manager in the Polokwane, Isando, Vereeniging and Heidelberg depots. Earlier in 2016 he completed his B-Tech Degree.
